Who I Am

I'm a husband and a dad.
I call the San Francisco bay area is my home.
My son is an English instructor and lives in Tokyo, and has also taught in rural Thailand.
My daughter is a newly licensed driver and published artist, with interests in computer science, ethics, and synthetic biology.
I like to ski, sail, snowboard, mountain bike, and *try* to play the alto sax.
I'm also a serious coffee drinker.

I'm a bit of a renaissance man, with interests in philosophy,
writing, teaching, physics, cryptography, molecular biology, optics, psychology, functional concrete art, thermal engineering, and mechanical engineering, . I'm currently interested in decentralized applications (DApps). I can often be found at school, at Biocurious (DIY Biotech Lab), at the Hacker Dojo, or at the Plug and Play Tech Center, where the best Start-ups with the best minds in Silicon Valley are incubated.
